A strange year almosts comes to an end at the Christmas Poultry Mart at Knockaloe.
Santa was slightly late due to a scattering of snow!
The Crosby Silver Band were in great tune and the Carol singing was more enthusiastic than usual !.
Thanks to Mr Jerry Wordsworth and the Crosby Silver Band.
Good support from the three Kings: Graham Crowe, Noel Cringle , John Willie Moore and there were several wise men as well !.
Manx Turkeys and Geese (all dressed) and Chickens sold well. There was generous support for the Charity Turkey donated by Mr Kenny Sloane with the chartities chosen ” IOM Breast Cancer” and “Motor Neuron”
This was auctioned several times and raised £1400 with a bucket collection of £250 making a total of £1650 to be split between the 2 charities.
Many thanks to Anne Duggan and Claire Quayle for the excellent catering, storeholder Sheila Gawne and Father Christmas, which all helped to make a really nice atmosphere.
A Happy New Year to everyone – goodness knows what will come or what to hope for ?
